Climate Change Passes in the House, Moves on to the Senate
The House of Representatives has made history by passing the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 by a margin of just 219-212. The bill is the first to try to curb the greenhouse gases that cause climate change and will help move the U.S. into a clean energy economy. Click here to find out how your Representative voted.

Now that the legislation has passed in the House, the fight for a strong climate change bill moves on to the Senate. It is imperative that Congress pass legislation that cuts greenhouse gas emissions based on the best available science.
